BSB Design’s Los Angeles office, formerly Withee Malcolm Architects, is a 40+ member team of designers spanning architecture, planning, and interiors. Our studio, one 12 BSB Design locations, offers clients commitment, creative energy and personal integrity.
BSB Design Los Angeles approaches planning, architecture and interior assignments with a rigorous desire to find the best possible solution, and delivering informed, responsive service. This approach has helped us build long-term client and partner relationships across urban infill housing, commercial, industrial and most recently food and hospitality-focused markets. Our projects span across the Western United States and beyond, as we work collaboratively with other BSB Design offices on the future of our neighborhoods, our cities, and our environment — where our design makes a difference.

As a founding partner of Withee Malcolm Architects, Dan Withee focuses on programming, planning, and designing award-winning housing that enriches communities and serves the most vulnerable in our communities. In practice since 1973, his expertise has been developed through efforts involving urban and community planning, consensus building and outreach, and agency approvals for complex urban infill projects. With a commitment to client service and delivery of hundreds of projects across Southern California, he serves as a design leader who can meet the complex demands of the development community with projects that respond in unique yet appropriate ways to their context.
